HOPE NOW SIKH COMMUNITY WILL GET JUSTICE AT LAST : SIRSA
New Delhi, January 10 (Wishav Warta) : The Delhi MLA and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today welcomed the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in constituting new SIT to probe the closed 186 cases related with sikh genocide of 1984 and hoped that finally truth will prevail and Sikhs will get justice in long awaited cases related with a genocide supported by the then ruling party which has no parallel in the world history.
In a statement relreased here today, Mr. Sirsa said that decision to constitute a fresh SIT headed by former High Court Judge which will have one serving and one retired police officer has made it ample clear that efforts were made by forces inimical to sikh community to hush up these cases to save the skin of Congres leaders including Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar. He hoped that now with the constitution of the fresh SIT headed by a retired High Court judge cases will be probes properly and justice will be given to the sikh community which was waiting for more than three decades to get it.
The DSGMC General Secretary also said that the fresh decision has given much relief to the community. He reminded that the Shiromani Akali dal under the leadership of S. Sukhbir Singh Badal and stalward S. Parkash Singh Badal was making all out efforts to get justice for the victims of these cases and its MPs including Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal had raised the issue in Parliament on numerous occasions whereas he himself had taken up the issue in Delhi Assembly on umpteen times. . Apart from it the SAD had also staged dharnas and protest marches to support its demand of justice for the victims.
He further said that now when the whole nations is watching that SC is itself monitoring the cases, he is hopeful that the AAP government led by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal will come forward to ensure that polygraphic test of the key witness Abhishek Verma is conducted as soon as possible. It is worth mentioning here that his test was scheduled for November 27 to 30 by was cancelled as the polygraphic machine at Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) was broken or faulty. Mr. Sirsa said that he was hopeful that Kejriwal government will make arrangement to ensure this test is done on priority basis as it has a great importance in these cases.
