New Delhi, December 12: The Centre Government yet to extend the deadline fixed for mandatory linking of Aadhaar with bank accounts, UIDAI officials on Monday said the process has to be done by December 31.
“Bank accounts of citizens will be temporarily deactivated if they do not link them by December 31. For those who do not have the card, they reactivate the account only after providing a temporary (Aadhaar) enrolment ID,” a senior Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) official said.
