Jalandhar, 22 September(Wishav Warta): Jalandhar rural police arrested two gangsters along with arms and ammunition.Police claim both the accused had opened fire at police officials during Nakabandi in Shahkot area a few days ago. Both the accused use to rob people at gunpoint in the area police party arrested them while they were conducting patrolling between village Malhiwal & village Bill Waraich. Accused were identified as Karamdeep Singh resident of village Mehraj, Bathinda and Harmanpreet Singh resident of Bhundar, Bathinda. Two pistols 7.62 bore, 4 live cartridges of 7.62 bore, 10 live cartridges of 12 bore, one car and motorcycle was recovered from them.SSP, Jalandhar(Rural), Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said police achieved major success when gangsters who use to rob people at gunpoint were nabbed. He Karamdeep is an old history sheeter and has many cases against him, he underwent 4 years of imprisonment and he was released in 2016. During investigation accused revealed. About one month ago, he along with Karamdeep Singh at gunpoint snatched one white coloured Swift from one person from the backside of Sohana Sahib Gurudwara and about 15 days back, they snatched one Ford Echo Sports Car on gunpoint from Rampura City which met with an accident and they dumped it over there. They also snatched one motorcycle at gunpoint.
