Amritsar, 31 August(Wishav Warta): SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar has praised the Captain Amarinder Singh government for dealing with the Dera violence. Badungar said that other than authorizing DGP Suresh Arora for taking immediate action to curtail any violence that could spread in the state, the chief minister himself visited various parts of the state to ensure that there were no lapses in the security arrangements. Prof. Badungar praised the response of the Captain government. on the other, he said that the Haryana CM had failed in taking preventive measures to check the showdown at Panchkula. SGPC chief said timely action initiated by the Punjab government ensured that no major damage was caused in the state.
