SAS Nagar, 30 August(Wishav Warta): Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Justice S.S. Saron, Judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court-cum-Executive Chairman, Punjab Legal Services Authority, the Mobile Van of Punjab Legal Services Authority, has been Scheduled to remain at District Mohali from 29.08.2017 to 13.09.2017. This van has been today on 30.08.2017 flagged of after going to to various villages by Archana Puri, Ld. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar. The schemes of National Legal Services Authority, as well as Government beneficial Schemes, will be explained to the General Public where this Van will visit. The Law Student, Para Legal Volunteers as well as the Panel Lawyers will go to different Villages as well as Schools for creating awareness about the Free Legal Services. The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, has already tied up with the BDPO’s of concerned block for assisting the team of District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar (Mohali) for creating Awareness. The Schedule till 13.09.2017 has been prepared and Maximum Villages are expected to be covered during this time period.
Earlier also in the month of 16 March to 30 March the Van of Punjab Legal Services Authority to be in District Mohali and various seminars/Legal Awareness programme had been organized through said van and District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar had seen a success rate by organizing such programmes and many new applications were received from various persons, who were in need of Legal Aid, many persons visited the office of District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar for seeking legal advice, Various phone calls were received seeking knowledge about the Legal Services. This van of Punjab Legal Services Authority is specially meant for the purpose of creating Legal Literacy campaign activities and same is used for organizing Seminars/Legal Literacy Camps/establishment of Legal Literacy Clubs/Legal Aid Clinics/publicity of Lok Adalats/visit to jails, schools & Colleges for implementation and follow up of schemes of NALSA/PULSA.
