This time neither senior deputy mayor Kamaljeet Singh Bhatia was against the budget nor leader opposition Jagdish Raja. Still, a lot of drama happened during the proceedings of the House. Even before the House meeting union leader Chandan Grewal along with union members started protest against the municipal corporation outside MC office. They demanded that the issue of the union should also be passed on the agenda, which has been pending for a long time. Somehow the meeting was started after persuading union members. Congress leaders started with the attack on Mayor and BJP and Akali councilors on the corporation issues. Mayor Sunil Jyoti presented a gift and shield to all the councilors in the form of honor.

On this, councilor Des Raj Jasla got up and threw both things on the floor. He said, ‘Punj saal sanu poochayya nayi, Hun gift denda firda'(From last five years you did not listen to us, now you are giving gifts). BJP councilors expressed displeasure over this. The mayor and the commissioner left the house watching the ruckus. After that Congress leaders played bean song to get Mayor back to the meeting which arose laughter. So after some time Mayor and commissioner came back and tried to start proceedings again but Congress councilors were demanding zero hour. Deputy Mayor Arvinder Kaur questioned the sterilization of dogs. Senior Deputy Mayor Kamaljeet Singh Bhatia raised many questions. Between the ruckus, the agenda was read.
