Kolkata, 21 September(Wishav Warta): India to play its second one day international against Australia today, India is up in the series by 1-0. Kolkata’s Eden Gardens have always been a happy hunting round for the Indian cricket team. India have an 11-8 win-loss record at this historic venue and have clashed with Australia just once 14 years ago. The Australians were excited at the look and feel of the Eden Gardens pitch on Wednesday. The grassy surface will inspire the Australian quickies Pat Cummins, Nathan Coulter-Nile and James Faulkner, who did well on a relatively placid Chepauk deck in the first ODI in Chennai.
India are well equipped in both spin and pace. Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya are capable users of the new ball but Australia’s game plan against the rookie wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav will be interesting to see today.
