Nawanshahr, 22 August: The Union Minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, representing SAD in NDA government at the centre should submit her resignation in protest against the tax exemptions to hilly states. This was stated by the Technical Education Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi while interacting with media persons at Rayat Bahra Complex, Rail Mazra in Nawanshahr district today. Lambasting SAD on criticising the Captain Government’s flagship programme ” Ghar Ghar Naukari” to provide employment to the youth, the Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister, Channi said that the SAD-BJP government during its 10 years rule had virtually ruined the youth of Punjab. Instead of providing job opportunities, the SAD-BJP had pushed the Punjabi youth into the vicious circle of drugs.
Now, the SAD-BJP has just been criticising the implementation of fulfilling the promise of ” Ghar Ghar Naukari” in frustration”, further said Channi while adding that during the first phase, ” Mega Rozgar Melas” were being organised at 21 places from August 21 to 31. As many as 50,000 youth would be provided jobs at the Rozgar Melas. As many as 4 lakh youth had been registered and 900 Companies had come forward to recruit youth during these Rozgar Melas.
The Technical and Industrial Minister, Charanjit Singh Channi also interacted with the representatives of the different companies and youth attending the Rozgar Mela. He mobilised youth to enhance their skills to tap the various job opportunities.
Earlier, Balachaur MLA, Darshan Lal Mangupur, while welcoming the Minister, urged him to set up ITI and Polytechnic Institute at Balachaur to enable the youth to have an opportunity of acquiring skills to tap employment avenues. The Minister assured to consider the demand positively. Nawanshahr MLA, Angad Singh lauded the implementation of the pre-poll promise of providing employment to the youth.
