Gurugram child murder: Suspect Ashok Kumar sent to Bhondsi jail, hearing to be fast-tracked

Gurugram, 13 September(Wishav Warta): The special court in Gurugram will fast track the proceedings in the murder trial of eight-year-old student of Ryan International School, Bhondsi.

“The special court will fast track the proceedings as Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act and Section 12 of the Pocso Act have been included in the FIR,” said advocate Arun Shokeen, member of district legal services authority.

The proceedings on Tuesday, when accused bus conductor Ashok Kumar, was remanded to judicial custody for six days, also ended in 10 minutes. He will be produced before the special court on September 18.

Kumar, who was arrested on Friday evening, was kept in police custody for three days. The police did not seek Kumar’s custody saying they were done interrogating him.

“The crime weapon has been recovered and collection of evidence is complete. The accused has also confessed to his crime. The evidence and witnesses prove he was present (at the scene) and committed the crime; there is also no possibility of anyone else being present in the toilet with him,” said deputy commissioner of police, South Gurgaon, Ashok Bakshi.
