Phagwara: Early morning on Wednesday former SAD MLA Sarabjit Singh Makkar’s car collided with a truck on Phagwara-Goraya highway. In the accident, Makkar, his wife Upinderjit Kaur and driver have suffered injuries. Everyone has been admitted to a private hospital in Phagwara. It is being told that due to the opening of the vehicle’s airbag there were fewer injuries.
Makkar had gone to Australia with his wife a few days ago. Last night, his flight landed in Delhi and he was returning from Delhi airport. Makkar, his wife, driver and gunman were in the car. On his way from Goraya to Phagwara Road, his Fortuner collided with a car truck .The accident occurred as the driver reportedly dozed off and lost control over the vehicle. Police had reached the spot after the incident. The truck driver has escaped from the spot.
