Mohali, 17 September(Wishav Warta): With a view to provide platform to young talented upcoming artists to exhibit their talent, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Chandigarh, in collaboration with Pracheen Kala Kendra, is organizing a performance of Folk Songs & Dances of Punjab at Kosers’ Auditorium, Pracheen Kala Kendra, Mohali on September 18, 2017 at 6:30 pm.
Divulging further, Mr. Davinder Singh, President of the Jugni Cultural & Youth Welfare Club said that ICCR is organizing cultural performances by artistes in the region every month under the “Horizon Series” programme thus contributing towards promotion and propagation of rich cultural traditions of the region. In this series of the council, folk songs and dances of Punjab like; Luddi, Malwai Gidha, Vaar, Kavishri, Folk Songs, Gatka, Been Vaja with Nachaar and Bhangra will be presented by the young talented upcoming artists of Jugni Cultural & Youth Welfare Club.
