Jalandhar: The bail application of Former Vice-Chancellor of PTU Dr Rajneesh Arora was rejected by district session judge RS Rai. Rajneesh Arora is the main accused who was arrested by the Vigilance Bureau for Rs 25 crores scam in Punjab Technical University and a large number of recruitment scams.
In connection with the alleged fraud involving Rs 25 crores scam in Punjab Technical University and distribution of jobs to the elite, the Vigilance Bureau had filed the case against 10 persons including former VC Rajneesh Arora in the case. During which, the team of Vigilance Bureau Kapurthala raided Amritsar and arrested the main accused Dr Rajneesh Arora from his residence there, while the remaining 9 accused are not yet arrested.
As the bail application has been dismissed by the session court Rajneesh Arora will now apply to the Punjab and Haryana High court for the bail, sources revealed.
