Jalandhar, 23 August(Wishav Warta):  Chairman of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission Rajesh Bagga today said that entrepreneurship was the new success mantra for the SC brethren to live a life with dignity and pride.

In a statement issued here, the Chairman said that several schemes of the Government of India (GoI) were aimed at empowering the SC community by giving them an opportunity to set up their own industrial units thereby immensely contributing towards the fiscal growth of the country. He said that the schemes like SC/ST Hub, Stand Up India and others could act as a game changer for the SC populace by providing them an opportunity to excel in business. Bagga said that these schemes offer loan from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 15 crore to SC entrepreneurs for starting their business for earning a livelihood.

The Chairman said that the main motive of these schemes was to provide a level playing field to the populace from community in the arena of trade and industry. Mr. Bagga said that all out efforts must be made for making the SC community aware about these flagship programmes of the GoI for them. Mr. Bagga said that as the custodian of the rights of the community, the Commission has embarked a special campaign for making the youth of the community aware of these schemes, so that they could optimally utilize it.
