Washington, 6 September(Wishav Warta):  United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday went against another decision of his predecessor Barack Obama that is set to impact 8 lakh people including Indians residing in the United States. US president formally announced the end of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), in which it allows certain illegal immigrants who entered the country as minors.

This has threatened to evacuate about 8 lakh migrants. Of these, about 7 thousand are of Indian origin. The protest has started. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside the White House. This program was implemented by Obama in 2012. Announcing the cancellation, the US attorney general said, “DACA snatched jobs from thousands of Americans and gave to the migrants.”

“I am here today to announce that the program known as DACA that was effectuated under the Obama administration is being rescinded”, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday.

The Trump’s decision is likely to damage the US economy by about 13 lakh crores. According to data from US Citizenship and Immigration Services till March 31, 2017, India is at number 11 in the countries related to DACA.

Apple chief Tim Cook and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella have condemned Trump’s decision. Microsoft’s Chief Legal Officer wrote in a blog that the company can also go to court to protect the interests of the Dreamers.

Trump has put the decision to the Congress. The attorney general said that Congress should make such improvements, which is in the fever of Americans. Whether the DACA category will be able to work safely in the US, the Congress will decide on it. If Congress does not take any steps like temporary relief or legalization, then it will also have to report. This year, the Congress could not bring a new law in place of Obama. In such a case, there is no doubt about any law on the issue of illegal migrants.

This decision will not immediately in effect. The Home Department has been asked to end all relief. Now the illicit immigrants will not be able to apply for DACA. The facility will continue to the people who have already got relief. They will be able to work until the permit is over. If the consignment they got is ending before March 5 next year, it will be able to renew it for the last time by October 5. But if it ends on 6th March then it will not be renewed.
