Rohtak, December 12 (Wishav Warta): The police found a chopped body parts of a woman, which were being eaten by stray dogs, near Purana Sugar mill area in Rohtak’s outskirts on Monday. The police said they only recovered the torso of the woman while the body below the knees and above the waist is missing.
The woman was wearing a red-coloured underwear, the only means through which the cops hope to ascertain the identity of woman. The police said preliminary investigation did not rule out sexual assault before murder. The police have sent the corpse for post-mortem at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS).
Some boys who were roaming in the area found stray dogs fighting violently over the body which is when they suspected that it was a human body. They informed the police. So far, the police have registered a case under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (destroying evidence) of the Indian Penal Code. The police said appropriate sections will be added in the FIR if sexual assault is confirmed in the postmortem.
