Jalandhar, 22 August(Wishav Warta): The Congress Committee of Jalandhar Urban attack on Modi government for giving 10 year tax holiday to the hill states J&K, Himachal and Uttrakhand under the one nation one tax GST policy, the industrialists of the whole country are feeling betrayed by this decision. Today interacting with media MLA from Jalandhar central constituency Rajinder Beri said when Modi introduced GST Chief Minister o f Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh welcomed this but now Modi led BJP government is extending 10 years tax concession to the hill states. This decision will throw Punjab industry back 10 years in the state. Capt. made efforts to improve the condition of industry in Punjab by getting electricity rates down to Rs 5 per unit, but concession in GST will wash all the hard work done by Congress to re-establish industry in Punjab, he said. Beri slams SAD for being silent on this anti Punjab decision. He asks Harsimrat Kaur Badal to give resignation from the Ministry as she failed to stop this anti Punjab and anti industry decision.

The Chairman of Beopar Cell Anil Nischal said the area in the Hoshiarpur and Pathankot districts are also hill areas, Hoshiarpur is already an industrially backward district. The exemption in tax to these states will affect the industry in all over India. The industrialists have to shift their plants to these states for surviving the competition but this is not an easy process so many industries will shut down, 20 to 22 thousand industries are already been shifted or closed in Punjab. He requested all the industrialists to write letters and give it to the MLA’s of the area which will be forwarded to Chief Minister and state government will take it up to the central government and put all the efforts to implement one nation one tax policy or similar package should be given to Punjab as well to uplift the industry.
