Chandigarh, 21 September(wishav Warta): The Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Sh. V.P.Singh Badnore today greeted the people on the first day of Navratri, the festival represented the beginning of victory of righteousness over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
In his message, the Governor said that nine-day long festival dedicated to goddess Durga and each day, nine forms of the goddess are worshiped. May this festival be an occasion for revival and rejuvenation and May Goddess keep inspiring us to serve the poorest of the poor, he added. The festival will conclude on September 30 with the Dussehra celebrations.
