New Delhi: AAP supremo has started the series of apologies after apologising to former Punjab minister Majithia, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today apologised Nitin Gadkari for his ‘unverified allegations’ against the Union minister. Kejriwal has also reportedly sought apology from Congress leader Kapil Sibal.

n a letter to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Kejriwal expressed regret for unverified allegations made against Gadkari.

“I have nothing personal against you. I regret the same. Let us put the incident behind us and bring the court proceedings to a closure,” Kejriwal wrote in the letter.

Arvind Kejriwal and Union minister Nitin Gadkari today filed a joint application for seeking of withdrawn of the defamation case in Delhi’s Patiala House Court.

In 2014, the Delhi chief minister had allegedly made a defamatory statement against Gadkari, for which Gadkari filed a criminal defamation case against Kejriwal.

Kejriwal is also facing a criminal defamation case against Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Jaitley had filed a defamation case after Kejriwal, who accused Jaitley of doing corruption during his tenure as the president of Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA). The finance minister had sought Rs 10 crore in compensation for the alleged defamatory allegations made by Kejriwal.
