New Delhi, January 18: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh finally accepted the resignation of Power and Irrigation Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh from his post. The decision was taken after the Captain Amarinder Singh’s meeting with Congress national president Rahul Gandhi at Delhi.
Captain told media “resignation of Rana Gurjeet has been accepted”. When asked Rahul Gandhi accepted it he said “yes Rahul accepted it”.
Rana Gurjit Singh, who has been under fire from the Opposition for his alleged involvement in sand mining auctions, has submitted his resignation as Power and Irrigation minister to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh.
“I have given my resignation from the ministry to the Captain Sahib. I gave my resignation personally to the Chief Minister a week back,” he said earlier.
