Chandigarh: Vigilance Bureau Punjab today nabbed Superintendent of ITI Moga red handed accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000.
Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Jasveer Singh, Superintendent-cum Group Instructor of ITI Moga was caught on the complaint of Narinderpal Singh, Chairman of Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh ITI, Moga.
The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above said accused was demanding Rs. 20,000 more from him for helping the students during the ongoing examination in Amar Shaheed Bhagat Singh ITI. The complainant said that he had already paid Rs. 20,000 to Jasveer Singh Superintendent on February 5, 2018 and demanding 20,000 more from him.
After verifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused superintendent arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs.20,000 from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
He informed that cases under Prevention of Corruption Act have been registered against the accused at VB police station Ferozepur and further investigations were under progress
