Chandigarh, 16 September: Slamming the Akali leadership for questioning the credentials of Commissions enquiring into their atrocities and desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Sunil Jakhar today said that Sukhbir and his coterie were baffled as their misdeeds would be exposed by these commissions.
In a statement issued here today, Jakhar said that the former Deputy Chief Minister has no moral right to raise any finger on these commissions as their hands were drenched with the atrocities on people and sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. He said that as the probe was investigating in these cases the Akali leadership was getting panicky with the fear of being exposed before the people. The PPCC President said that Sukhbir knows that the truth would be before the people very soon due to which he was now issuing irrational statements.
Jakhar said that everyone knows that during their decade long misrule the SAD-BJP alliance had looted the public exchequer and unleashed lot of atrocities on the common man. He said that thousands of victims of atrocities of Akalis have approached Justice Mehtab Singh Commission. The PPCC Chief said that as the misdeeds of Akalis have been exposed so they were now indulging in such tantrums.
Jakhar categorically said that Congress does not believe in victimization of the political rivals due to which they had constituted Judicials Commissions for probing into misdeeds of previous government , so that no politics should take over it. However, he said that as the Akalis fear that would be made accountable for their misdeeds so they were questioning the Commissions itself. The PPCC Chief said that Sukhbir and his company must understand that they could not stall the truth by indulging in such cheap tantrums.
