Chandigarh, 3 October(Wishav Warta): Former Akali leader Sucha Singh Langah who has been booked under rape charges has filed an application seeking transit anticipatory bail in Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday.
The application is likely to come up for hearing on Wednesday. He has sought bail to be able to surrender before Ilaqa Magistrate at Gurdaspur. The former Akali minister and SGPC member is on the run since he was booked on rape charges by Gurdaspur police on September 29. Alleging political vendetta, he has petitioned that he might not be arrested but kept in unlawful custody in case he surrendered at the concerned police station.
