Amritsar: Asian wrestling championship gold medalist Navjot Kaur was honoured by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Amritsar on Thursday morning.
Gobind Singh Longowal, SGPC Chief honoured the gold medalist with a cheque worth 2.5 lakh. At the same time ICC U-19, Arshdeep Singh was awarded with a cheque worth 1.25 lakh by the SGPC.
Navjot Kaur scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to win a gold in the Senior Asian Championships as she clinched the yellow metal in the 65kg freestyle category.
