Chandigarh, 19 August(Wishav Warta): The Shiromani Akali Dal described the Job fair of the State Government a complete drama aimed at getting political mileage from the routine placement activities of various educational institutions. In a statement released from the party headquarters, the party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that government must explain that why they have not issued any advertisement to fill up vacant posts in different departments of government so for.
He said that on one hand, the government is terminating the services of outsourced employees. On the other hand, they have closed the unified ‘Seva Kendras’ causing loss of employment to thousands of educated youth. Similarly, by disbanding truck unions they have jeopardized the lives of thousands of self employed truck operators. Thousands of masons and construction workers have lost their livelihoods due to complete shut down of developmental activities in the state as well as due to faulty mining policies. Agriculture which is the main source of employment is passing through the worst circumstances due to betrayal of this government on its loan waiver scheme.
Dr. Cheema further said that with all these negative decisions the government wants to take credit for the routine placement activities of various educational institutions by putting its stamp over it through advertisements. But it is not going to help the educated unemployed youths of the state who expects some concrete steps from the government.
