Jalandhar, 22 September(wishav Warta); The Revolutionary Marxist Party of India conducted a press meet at Jalandhar today. Party slams BJP led central government over hike in fuel prices as they have only increased after it was set to be changed on daily basis. They raised the issues on minorities, woman and casteism and also attacked RSS for dividing people over religion. General Secretary of RMPI Mangat ram Pasla said party will launch a nationwide struggle to defeat the communal divisive agenda of RSS, party will approach all left parties, mass organisations, intellectuals and struggling forces for this purpose.
He later attacked Modi government that the neo liberal policies implemented by Modi government are creating huge miseries for the toiling masses. Unemployment, price hike, suicides, all are outcome of these policies. Demonetisation and GST again raised trouble of common people in shape of huge tax burden. He said Government has only benefited the big corporates houses not the poor and suppressed people.
Comrade announced that RMPI will hold a statewide protest against Modi government on 24 September and effigies of Modi will be burned all over the state as protest against the price hike of petroleum products. He also informed that first state organisational conference of Punjab State unit of RMPI wikk be held in bathinda from 26 to 28 September.
