Chandigarh: Punjab Government has challenged the order of Punjab & Haryana High Court quashing the appointment of Suresh Kumar as Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab. The government has challenged the single bench judgment at the double bench of Punjab & Haryana High Court. The appeal filed by the state of Punjab likely to be taken up for the hearing next week.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court last month set aside the appointment of retired IAS officer Suresh Kumar as chief principal secretary, Punjab. Last month the court of Justice Rajan Gupta said he was holding the post in violation of Article 166(3) of the Constitution.
