Chandigarh: The Cabinet Ministers of Punjab namely Brahm Mohindra, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Charanjit Singh Channi, Aruna Chaudhary, Razia Sultana today extended their warm greetings to all the Punjabis living in the country as well as the members of the diaspora settled abroad on the holy eve of Diwali as well as Bandi Chhor Diwas.
Giving their greetings, they said that the festive occasion of diwali signifies that the irrespective of the hardships one may face in life but in the end the power of truth and righteousness alone prevails over the evil and truth alone stands out. They further said that the festival also is an occasion to imbibe the moral values, communal harmony, spreading the message of peace, compassion and amity all across the entire universe.
They further said that the occasion of Bandi Chhor Diwas occupies an important place in the history of mankind as it was on this day that the 6th Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji Maharaj and the 52 Kings were released from the Gwalior Fort from the captivity of Emperor Jahangir.
