New Delhi, January 25 : After the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa took up the issue with it, the Punjab School Education Board has included a chapter on life and history of Char Sahibzade in senior secondary classes for coming academic session of 2018-19 and from 2019-20 this will be included for Matriculation classes as well.
Board has informed this information to Manjinder Singh Sirsa in a letter.
In letter written by Deputy Director Academic to Sirsa it has been informed that pursuant to his request to include chapter on Sahibzade for their unparalleled valor and supreme sacrifice in the history of India, board has decided to include these chapters. Now for the coming session of 2018-19 a chapter has been included in history syllabus of senior secondary classes. From next session it will be included in social science in history of Matriculation class as well.
Sirsa said that it was matter of pride for whole nation that the time has come when different boards of education have realized the need to include chapter in their syllabus on Char Sahibzade for their unparalleled valor and supreme sacrifice they made for the nation and humanity. He said that after he took up the issue with the Prime Minister, NCERT has agreed to include chapter in its syllabus and not it was turn of the PSEB Punjab which has taken this initiative and was hopeful that other boards will follow soon.
The DSGMC General Secretary further said that these developments are taking place when a movement has begin in the nation to get our children and future generations equipped with the history of supreme sacrifice and valor of four sahibzadas. He said that soon a detailed program to organize seminars throughout the country will be rolled out soon.
