New Delhi: The Class XI student of Ryan International School, apprehended by the CBI for allegedly killing a 2nd class student, has confessed to his crime in front of his father and an independent witness, the agency has told a juvenile court.
CBI also wants the teenager to identify the shop from where he bought the knife to commit the crime on September 8. The CBI said the interrogation was needed to reconstruct the scene of crime, and to collect any other evidence related to the case.
“He has admitted his involvement in committing the murder of Pradyuman in ground floor boys washroom of Ryan International School” in presence of his father, an independent witness, welfare officer of the CBI, etc.,” the note said.
The court has sent the juvenile to three-day CBI custody. The CBI has said that there was no evidence against Kumar so far.
Over the past month, CBI officials questioned 125 students and teachers in school; parents were called too. Blood samples of the students have also been collected.
The questioning of various students subsequently revealed that the Class XI student, struggling with his studies, did not want to sit for an exam that day and had talked about avoiding it. He had also bragged to classmates that the exam would be postponed, that they should not bother studying for it.
