Bholath: Shiromani Akali Dal organised ‘Pol Khol’ rally at Bholath town today. Terming Captain Government’s rule equivalent to the British rule before independence for the people of Punjab, former Chief Minister and SAD supremo Sukhbir Singh Badal lashed out Congress saying that Captain has not even a single time conducted a public meeting since he became Chief Minister of the state.
Badal said that duty of CM is that he should meet the public and listen to their problems then provide policies to curb the issue. He said that this is the first government which is facing an anger of public after only one year of its rule. Calling Captain an Atheist, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that after becoming CM did not go to Golden Temple and even when he was in Amritsar to meet Justin Trudeau he did not meet him inside the holy shrine.
He is the laziest Chief Minister Punjab could ever have, who has not been in his office for a single day since the formation of its government, Badal added. While on lauding about SAD works Sukhbir said that ‘Yaadgar’ monuments have been made to recall the memories of our martyrdom, added that 30,000 Sikhs were killed in ‘Chota Ghalughara’ which is now remembered through its monument. Sewa Kendra was an effort to save public from local administration’s torture, but Captain has also closed down them leaving thousands unemployed.
While commenting on MC elections Sukhbir said that it is clearly transparent to everyone that how fairly elections were conducted. There are several videos viral on social media of voters that they are being scolded and bothered to vote Congress. He said that in a booth which had 800 persons voters list, polled more than 900, is it possible that a candidate is getting 100 more votes than the voters.
Former Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia said that the super success of ‘Pol Khol’ rallies across the state is the proof that people of Punjab are already fed up with the state government. Lashing out on Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu Majithia said that “Chakk Deo Fatte Napp Deo Killi” (Calling the Minister sarcastically) is a mindless person who has called a holy place of Sikhs, Virasat-e-Khalsa a ‘Chitta Hathi’ (White Elephant).
