Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator HS Phoolka has grossly misread the Justice Ranjit Singh report with his biased mind and deduced wild conclusions, not remotely related to its contents.
Stating this here today, senior vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema said that Phoolka has taken an unscrupulous, illegal and unconstitutional stance that the government can register a case against former chief minister on the basis of recommendation of the Justice Ranjit Singh.
Supporting his argument, Phoolka claimed that the last page of the supplementary report states that evidently the then chief minister was involved in giving orders of firing at Bhabal Kalan .
And Phoolka too echoed what the Congress ministers were orchestrating that Mr.Badal was culprit without reading the contentious Ranjit Singh report .
Challenging Phoolka, Dr. Cheema said that not to talk of last page but firing at Behbal Kalan is not discussed at all in the supplementary report and one can’t trace mention of Behbal Kalan even with help of high-power magnifying glass.
But to accomplish its sinister designs, Justice Ranjit Singh in league with the Congress bosses tried to confuse by clubbing both the incidents to give a handle to his Congress masters..
Unfortunately, Phoolka who himself in a practicing lawyer at the Supreme Court has lapped such a loose statement to conclude that the panel had indicted Mr. Badal which is farfetched and ludicrous.
“This was least expected from a senior practicing lawyer of the Apex Court and his selective reading of the controversial report, including supplementary one , reflects adversely on his professional credentials,” averred Cheema adding that Phoolka has threatened to quit his assembly if a case is not registered against Mr. Badal merely to become martyr.
