91 Nominations filed on the 5th day
Chandigarh, April : On the third day of nominations 91 candidates had filed their nomination papers in the State. So far 198 has been filed their nomination papers in five days.
Disclosing this here today the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S. Karuna Raju said that Lal Chand of Revolutionary Marxist Party of India, Mangal Singh of Democratic Party of India, Mamta of AAP and Sunil Kumar Jakhar of Congress has filed his nomination for the Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-01 Gurdaspur, Similarly Hardeep Singh Puri of BJP, Kuldeep Singh and Anil Kumar of AAP, Chainn Singh (independent), Gagandeep Kumar of Shiv Sena, Kanwaljeet Singh of BSP (Ambedkar), Bal Krishan (independent), Lakhwinder Singh of Republican Party of India (A) and Kewal Krishan of Bahujan Shakti Party for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-02 Amritsar while for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-03 Khadoor Sahib Jagir Kaur and Rajneet Kaur of SAD, Manjinder Singh and Gurdev Singh of AAP, Harjeet Kaur (independent), Surjit Singh (independent) and Khajan Singh of National Justice Party filed their nominations. Ramesh Lal of Bahujan Mukti Party, Subhash Goria of Shiv Sena, Baljinder Sodhi of National Justice Party, Balwinder Kumar and Manjit Kumari of BSP, Swami Nitya Anand (independent), Charanjit Singh of SAD, Prem Chand Jassal of Republican Party of India (A) and Opkar Singh (independent) filed their nominations for PC 04-Jalandhar (SC)
He further said that for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-05 Hoshiarpur (SC) Jai Gopal Dhiman (independent), Tilak Raj (independent), Paramjeet Singh of Samaj Bhalai Morcha and Som Parkash and Sahil Kainth of BJP, Balwinder Kaur of SAD, Bir Davinder Singh and Sahib Singh of SAD (Taksali), Paramjit Singh Ranu (independent), Jodh Singh and Avtar Singh of Bhartiya Lok Sewa Dal, Ashwani Kumar of Hindustan Shakti Sena, Kawaljeet Singh of All India Congress Party and Kirpal Kaur (independent) for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-06 Anandpur Sahib, Davinder Bhagria of Hindustan Shakti Sena, Brijesh Kumar of Peoples Party of India, Simarjeet Singh and Surinder kaur of Lok Insaaf Party, Mahesh Inder Singh of SAD, Pardeep Singh of Samaj Adhikar Kalyan Party, Tej Pal Singh and Amanjot Kaur of AAP, Rajinder Kumar of Hindu Samaj Party and Bintu Kumar Taank of Ambedkar National Congress for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-07 Ludhiana, Gurjeet Singh of Sarvjan Sewa Party, Vinod Kumar of Bharat Prabhat Party and Ashok Kumar of Rashtriya Lok Swaraj Party for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-08 Fatehgarh Sahib, for PC 09-Faridkot (SC) Rajinder Kaur Safri of Rashtriya Janshakti Party, Amandeep Kaur of People Party of India ( Democratic), Jawed Akhtar of Indian National Congress, Dr. Swaran Singh and Samiksha Singh of Apna Samaj Party, Gulzar Singh Ranike and Gurinder Pal Singh Ranike of SAD and Sukhdev Singh Hindustan Shakti Sena, for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-10 Ferozepur Sukhbir Singh Badal and Janmeja Singh of SAD, Hansraj Golden of Communist Party of India, Kuldeep Singh (independent), Harmandar Singh of Samaj Adhikar Kalyan Party and Harjinder Singh of AAP filed their nomination papers.
“Baljinder Kaur of AAP, Harsimrat Kaur of SAD, Kartar Singh (independent) and Sukhpal Singh of Punjab Ekta Party for PC 11- Bathinda, Desraj Singh alias Desa Singh (independent), Bhagwant Mann of AAP, Simranjit Singh Mann of SAD (Amritsar) (Simranjit Singh Mann), Jagmohan Krishan of General Samaj Party, Tulsi Singh (independent), Najira of Rashtriya Sahara Party, Ratan Lal (independent) and Balwinder Singh of Indian Democratic Republican Front for Parliamentary Constituency (PC)-12 Sangrur, Praneet Kaur and Himmat Singh Kahlon of Congress Party, Harpal Singh of Ambedkarite Party of India, Parveen Kumar (independent), Shankar Lal (independent), Surjit Singh Rakhra and Charanjit Singh of SAD, Manjit Singh (independent) and Amanpreet Singh (independent) for PC 13- Patiala filed their nomination papers”, he added.
