S.A.S. Nagar, June 6( WISHAVWARTA )-The ‘Atam Nirbhar Bharat Scheme’ has been kickstarted in the district with a view to provide food packets to the migrant workers/labourers, keeping with the objectives of the Mission Fateh initiative.
The main aim of the initiative is to ensure that no migrant worker/labourer goes hungry.Disclosing this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan informed that to begin with, a total of 800 packets have been distributed amongst the migrant workers/labourers at brick kilns in the district.
As of now Modern Brick kiln and Garg brick kiln Banur along with a couple of other establishments have been covered.In the coming days, labourers atvarious industrial institutions and factories would be catered.He also divulged that each food packet contains 10 Kg atta, 1 Kg Black Chana and 1 Kg of Sugar. He added that unlike other schemes, the benefit of the scheme can also be given to those who don’t have a local ration card.
