Ludhiana police have cracked Rs 10 lakh armed robbery case on Thursday with the arrest of four accused, Rs 3.04 lakh of looted money was recovered from them.
Commissioner of Police (CP), Ludhiana, Sukhchain Singh Gill said that the remaining two accused, who are still at large, have also been identified and they would be nabbed soon.
Armed robbers had shot at two workers of a private cash collection agency near hotel Radisson Blue on Ferozepur Road and looted Rs 10 lakh cash from them.
The accused were identified as Karamjit Singh Joga of Dakha, Bhuvnesh, Pawan and Harpreet Singh. Joga is a former employee of the cash collection agency whereas Bhuvnesh is currently employed with the same agency.
“Joga was the mastermind in this crime. The rest of the looted money and the weapon used in the crime will be recovered from the remaining accused after their arrest,” said Gill.
Initially, it was believed that four accused on two motorcycles had committed the crime but subsequent investigation revealed the involvement of total six accused, who had used three motorcycles.
