Chandigarh: Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira get a sight of relief after Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday stayed the non-bailable warrants issued by the trial court at Fazilka against him. The HC Bench of Justice AB Chaudhary passed order on the plea of the AAP leader and issued notice to the Punjab government.
The Bench, however, allowed the proceedings of the trial court to continue. Besides, non-bailable warrants, Khaira had also petitioned before the HC for stay on the proceedings. The matter was adjourned for final disposal on November 9, 2017.
