Bathinda: The commission headed by Justice Ranjit Singh(retd) set up by Punjab government to inquire into the incidents of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Shrimad Bhagwad Gita and holy Quran Sharif today visited various villages of Bathinda. The Commission visited areas of Talwandi Sabo, Rampura, Kotfatta etc for inquiry into sacrilege incidents.
Justice Ranjit Singh said the commission has conducted its inquiry into sacrilege incidents in almost all the districts across the state. Soon the commission will compile its report and submit to the Punjab government, he added.
Punjab government had referred 122 cases of sacrilege to the commission and during investigations, few more cases have come to fore.
