Say move aimed at installing sense of safety and security amongst the people
Jalandhar, April 4( Wishavwarta)-Led by Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar the security forces today conducted flag march in the city.
The flag march started from District Administrative Complex and culminated at local circuit house after passing through Master Tara Singh Nagar, Kamal Palace Chowk, Shastri Chowk, Luv Kush (Milap) Chowk, Sri Ram (Nehru Garden) Chowk, Bhagwan Valmiki (Jyoti) Chowk, Dr Ambedkar (Nakodar) Chowk, Bhargo camp, Guru Ravidass Chowk, Boota Mandi, Satguru Kabir (Wadala) Chowk and Guru Nanak Mission Chowk.
The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that the motive of flag march was to instill a sense of security and safety amongst the city residents. They said that move was also aimed at boosting the morale of security forces who were rendering duty 24X7. The officers said that curfew has been imposed to check the spread of Corona Virus in the district adding that the district administration was duty-Bound to enforce it in true latter and spirit.
The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police warned the people that anybody found loitering during the curfew would be dealt with sternly. They asked the people to stay in their homes and ensure safety and security of their families.
On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr Vishesh Sarangal and Mr Jasbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Balkar Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrates Mr Rahul Sindhu and Dr Jai Inder Singh, Assistant Commissioner Mr Varjeet Walia, Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr Barjinder Singh and others were also present.
