Submits ‘Call Attention Motion’ to Speaker.
Demands 2 days discussion on the issue.
Chandigarh, August 1- AAP MLA from Sunam, Aman Arora on Thursday demanded a White Paper from Govt. on the issue of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and other religious texts and firing incident at Bargari and Behbal Kalan in 2015.
Through a ‘Call Attention Motion’ submitted to Speaker Rana KP Singh, Arora has demanded 2 days discussion on the issue and also wished to know the outcome of all probes till now.
In a press statement, Arora said that after the State was put on boil, govt. lodged a number of FIRs, appointed 2 judicial commissions, 3 SITs were constituted and a probe by CBI but nothing concrete has come out till now. Arora said all other public centric important issues of the State were put on the back seat and sacrilege issue remained at the centrestage for all political parties for political mileage. Public sentiments were hurt, financial loss to state happened and lives of Bhai Gurjeet Singh, Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Mohinder Pal Bittu were lost with no outcome till now and their families still awaiting justice.
Arora demanded a statement from the Chief Minister on the floor of Vidhan Sabha about the progress and status of all probes and inquiries made till now and asked the CM to give a timeline for the conclusion of the case.
