Chennai: The remaining Indian Premier League (IPL) matches of the Chennai leg have been shifted out as police said it will not be able to guarantee security after massive protests over Cauvery water sharing dispute had threatened to rock the opening game on Tuesday, according to reports.
There were doubts Chennai would be able to host matches in the lead-up to the tournament as film stars and politicians came out in support of not holding matches in the Tamil Nadu capital.
