Ottawa, 16 August: Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, on India’s 71st Independence Day, congratulated India on a special occasion. He talked about the strong relations between India and Canada and said that these two countries have shared many things. He said, “Today we are celebrating Indian Independence Day with Indians and Indian Canadians. There are many things common in our two countries. We both follow democracy, freedom and law and we are committed to it. Justin Trudeau spoke about the G-20 summit, saying that he met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion and discussed with him about various issues relating to world concerns, peace, security, and gender bias. He praised the Indian-Canadians, saying they are taking the country further on the path of progress. At the end, he said, “I congratulate the all the Indians on behalf of the Government of Canada and his wife Sophie on Independence Day.
