England: India won the toss and opted to bowl first. World No 1 ODI side England will take on No 2 ranked India in the first of three match series at Nottingham on Thursday. India come into the series high on confidence having won three matches T20I series 2-1 against England and 2-0 against Ireland prior to that.
India need to win the series 3-0 to overtake England as the number one ODI side in ICC rankings. Former India captain MS Dhoni needs just 33 runs to become only the second wicketkeeper batsman to score 10,000 runs or more in One day internationals.
