Sangrur: A husband and wife were shot and killed by unidentified assailants on Sunday night in Sangrur. After the incident, the killers escaped from the spot.
Deceased were identified as Charanjit Singh and his wife his wife.
In a statement given by the brother of murdered Charanjit Singh to police he said that his brother had to take money from Jassi and Pradeep Kumar, due to which both of his brothers and sister-in-law had been assassinated.
The deceased’s brother said that after the incident, when he reached the spot, Jassi and Pradeep Kumar escaped in a white car with their colleagues.
On receiving the information about the incident, the police officials who reached the spot started the investigation. Two rounds of cartridges have been recovered from the crimescene.
