Guru Ram Das Gurpurab Celebrated with Religious Fervor at Khalsa College

Amritsar, 7 October(Wishav Warta): The `Gurpurab’ of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji, Sikhs’ fourth Guru and founder of Amritsar was celebrated with religious fervor and devotion at Khalsa College campus by Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) today. The students of Khalsa College Public School (Heir) performed Kirtan following the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path and divinity teacher shed light on the life, philosophy and directives of the Guru. The students recited the Gurbani and Shabad in praise of Guru Ram Das ji who founded Amritsat then also known as Chak Ramdaspur.

KCGC President Satyajit Singh Majithia and honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina congratulated one and all on this occasion and asked Sangat to follow righteous path shown by the Guru. Sikh history and research board in charge Inderjit Singh Gagoani gave an account of the times and teachings of the Guru. KCGC joint secretaries Ajmer Singh Heir, SS Mannan and Member Lakhwinder Singh Dhillon, KU VC Dr. GS Walia, Principal Khalsa College Dr. Mehal Singh, Principal Dr. SK Mahal, Principals of various institutions under the Society and heads of other departments, teachers and students were present in large numbe.
