Jalandhar: IPS officer Gurpreet Singh Bhullar here on Saturday took charge as the new Jalandhar Police Commissioner. He replaced incumbent Parveen Kumar Sinha.
After taking the charge Bhullar held an introductory meeting with Jalandhar commissionerate police officers.
During the meeting, Bhullar asked the cops to works towards lowering the crime rate in the city and solve pending cases.
Bhullar has served as SSP (rural) at Jalandhar, later was transferred as additional inspector general (AIG) for counter-intelligence. He was recently promoted to DIG rank after which he was posted as police commissioner Jalandhar.
