Chandigarh, March 11 (WISHAVWARTA):- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is fulfilling the Arvind Kejriwal ki guarantee to the people of Chandigarh. The people of Chandigarh to get free 20,000 litres of water and facility for free parking.
AAP Mayor Kuldeep Kumar held a press conference at the AAP party office in Chandigarh on Monday evening to brief the press about the proceedings of the house.
Kuldeep Kumar said that today we addressed the long pending demands of the people of Chandigarh in the house. He said that our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal promised the people during the MC election of Chandigarh to give them 20,000 litres of free water. Today we tabled it in house and passed it despite the disturbance created by the BJP Councillor who does not want us to do public welfare works.
He said that another important decision taken by the house today is free parking. Chandigarh is the capital of Punjab and Haryana and all people should get a free parking facility here. He added that he hopes that the Secretary or the governor won’t stand in the way of these public welfare decisions and these files will be passed as soon as possible so that these decisions can be implemented with further delay.
Addressing the media Chandigarh Mayor Kuldeep Kumar said that BJP councillors are constantly disturbing the house. First they rigged the election, now they do not want the house to make pro-people decisions. He added that he is very glad to inform the people of Chandigarh that they will soon get free water and free parking facility. He also requested the local secretary and the Chandigarh administration to pass these files.
He further said that AAP and Congress came together in Chandigarh to fight BJP and their injustice towards the people. Congress promised free parking and the AAP promised free water to the people of Chandigarh. Today we together did the double good for the people when we passed both these decisions. He said that the people won today. It is corruption vs honesty and honesty is winning.
Kuldeep Kumar said that our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal gave the guarantee of free water to the people of Chandigarh and today we are ecstatic to fulfill that guarantee. He said that now public welfare works will be done in Chandigarh. Corruption has ended and the people’s rule has begun.
On this occasion AAP counsellor Yogesh Dhingra, Chairman Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Co-incharge AAP Chandigarh Dr. SS Ahluwalia, Chandigarh Congress President HS Lucky and Congress Counsellor Taruna Mehta were also present.
