Chandigarh: Enforcement Directorate (ED) deputy director Niranjan Singh, who resigned from his post last week, will join his duty back today after he rolled back his resignation, according to the sources.
As per information, he will also appear before the Mohali court on the behalf of ED in Bhola Drug case in the morning on Friday. He will assume all the charges he was having earlier their will be no change in services.
Niranjan Singh, who was probing the high-profile multi-crore Bhola drug racket case and had also questioned Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia, last week on Friday opted for voluntary retirement, three years before his term was to end.
ED officer on Thursday told the Punjab and Haryana high court that he quit his job out of ‘frustration’ as he was not allowed to proceed against former revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia in Jagdish Bhola drug racket case.
