Jalandhar: Extending a helping hand to the kids of Unique Home situated on the outskirts of the city, a Non Resident Indian (NRI) along with his family and officers of the district administration came forward for helping the kids in this home.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Jalandhar Rajinder Singh, the NRI Kulwant Singh Gora today handed over a cheque of Rs 51000 to Bibi Parkash Kaur, who was running the unique home. Lauding the initiatives of the Bibi Parkash Kaur, the DCP Rajinder Singh also said that her efforts have given fresh lease of life to these kids. He assured fulsome support and cooperation to the Unique Home from the district and Police administration for this noble cause. Rajinder Singh also thanked the NRI for supporting the efforts made by Bibi Parkash Kaur by contributing a huge sum of money.
Hailing the noble initiative taken by Bibi Parkash Kaur, the NRI said that she was doing a great service to the humanity by ensuring good upbringing of the girl kids, who have been abandoned by their parents. He said that the cheque was a humble contribution by him in a great philanthropic cause being done by Bibi Parkash Kaur by running this home. Gora said that in order to ensure smooth functioning of this Unique home he would rope in more funds from the NRI brethren, so that the children could get the best facilities.
