Jalandhar, January 22: Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajinder Singh and Additional Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh today reviewed the ongoing rehearsals for the Republic Day celebrations slated to take place on January 26.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police visited the stadium in the morning and took stock of the Republic day parade which would be led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police Jaspreet Singh. He also took the salute from the parade which comprises of 16 contingents of paramilitary forces, Punjab Police, Home Guards, NCC, Scouts & Guides and others. Rajinder Singh also gave necessary directions to the Police officers regarding the parade.
Meanwhile, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jasbir Singh also visited the stadium and oversaw the various cultural items being prepared for the Republic Day celebrations. He also asked the students and the officers to ensure that best cultural items were prepared and presented on mark this gala event. The Additional Deputy Commissioner also hoped that the district would uphold the glorious tradition of presenting the best cultural items during the celebrations.
