Takes stock of arrangements at quarantine facility in Sector-70 Meritorious School
S. A. S. Nagar, 2 May( Wishavwarta)-The Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan today directed that all the protocols must be followed in the quarantine facility at Sector-70 meritorious school. He expressed these views while taking stock of the arrangements made at the quarantine facility for the persons admitted here.
On the occasion, he was apprised that the people who came from Hazur Sahib in Maharashtra and Kota in Rajasthan are getting adequate basic facilities including food, medicines and shelter at quarantine facility and are being kept well in an absolutely neat and clean environment. The facility houses 37 people. The tea is served at 8 am and it includes biscuits. The breakfast is served between 9:30-10 am and it includes Rice, Sabzi, Parantha. The lunch comes from Gurudwara Singh Shaheedan Sohana and is prepared under hygienic conditions and includes sabzi, Dal, roti, rice, kheer and lassi. Evening tea follows at 4 pm and dinner pm and later in evening the dinner is served.
Special care is taken to provide fruits to the inmates of Muslim community to open ‘Roza’ in the evening.
It was also brought to his notice that the facility is divided into A and B blocks with block A, having those patients who have come to kept in further surveillance after discharge from Gian Sagar, is cleaned everyday between 8-10 am and B block between 10-12 pm. Block B includes the people from Nanded and Kota. He further disclosed that when a patient is admitted in the quarantine centre, sampling is done. Those positive are admitted to Gian Sagar and those who test negative are quarantined here for 14 days. In case, any patient wants medical services then the same are provided as per requirement.The ambulances service is available just at half an hour notice.
The Deputy Commissioner further warned no laxity would be tolerated in the matter of providing every facility to the people undergoing quarantine. He also cautioned that spreading baseless rumours in this regard would also be strictly dealt with.
