Jalandhar(Wishav Warta): The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today said that the specially able people were the ‘real heroes’ of society as they excel in their respective fields despite of severe hostilities.
Addressing the gathering during a function organized by Louise Braille Welfare Association for Blind here at Red Cross Bhawan, the Deputy Commissioner said that specially able person have to face numerous challenges during their day-to-day routine. He said that life was not easy for them but still they have proved their mettle in varied fields and have scripted their own success story. Sharma said that this was certainly a daunting task but then also these specially able people exhibit a lot of courage and achieve new milestones in life.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in today’s welfare state era there were ample of opportunities for the specially able people. Likewise, he said that special provisions have been made for safeguarding the interest of this stratum of society, so that they could live a life with dignity and pride.
Complementing the organizers for holding this event, the Deputy Commissioner said that such programs give platform to specially able people to exhibit their talent. Besides, he said that such events also give a chance to them to discuss the problems and challenges faced by them to find a suitable remedy for it. Sharma also assured fulsome support and cooperation to the organization for the welfare of the specially able people.
